I can understand the developer going down this path to give the game some automation to help the HUGE fan base of this franchise who may struggle to find servers - but why not have both? Does it really matter that much to split a community rather than annoy it this much? The modders will be angry too I'd bet. Hex, why did IW have to go and be a noob for? I play fps on a PC because I like the control you get with a mouse, I like having a console menu you can pull down, and I like playing my regular servers with pings that I can count on for no lag.and now as far as multiplayer goes, most of that is below par except for the mouse part. If you only play with friends, than you're not going to be TOO bothered by all this EXCEPT you wont earn any XP in private matches which is something that probably WILL bother you. And when you leave a group, it counts as a loss - so.stay in a group and have my grenades leave a second later than they should or leave the group and get a loss strike against me. International Matchmaking will be thrust upon you, and more often than not it wont be a match made in heaven.įor us Aussies this leads to horrible host migration problems and consequently uberlag with international hosts, and generally ruined about half the groups I joined. Yes 'tis a bit crap - if you're fan of pubbing it up on your regular low ping aussie server or running your own mods, get ready to be disappointed.

This is old news, and I knew it would be bad come launch, but I didn't realise it would be THIS bad.

I mean COD4's multiplayer was almost perfect, and CODWAW's wasn't bad but the big facepalm in MW2's is the identical multiplayer matchmaking system on each platform, excluding dedicated servers for the PC version. Hex, I'm going to have to stop you there, because I need to rant Modern Warfare 2 is here and really, it needs no introduction, we played it on PC and 360 and.
